Pink Harris Tweed Hare Purse
This striking Pink Harris Tweed Fox Purse has a 100% liberty lawn cotton hare and free motion embroidered flowers. Ideal gift for a hare or nature lover, or as a treat for yourself.
The handcrafted coin purse features a free motion appliquéd fabric hare on a pink tweed, with embroidered flowers.
The inside is 100% cotton, in a cream bird design Tilda fabric with a metal clasp.
Large enough to hold a credit card, or lipstick, but compact enough to fit in a small bag.
Every coin purse is handmade with the highest quality materials to produce a truly unique addition to your handbag.
Each purse has carefully selected fabric for the hare to match the Harris Tweed. All Harris Tweed is purchased directly from the weavers on the Isle of Harris.
The hare is hand drawn and cut out before being free motion appliquéd onto the backing fabric and a tiny black bead is hand sewn for the eye.
The scene is created using free-motion embroidery which is a specialised sewing technique very much like drawing with a sewing machine.
Once the exterior is finished a wadding is added to give the purse a plush feel, then I sew and add the cotton lining, the purse is then hand-stitched into a metal clasp using Perle embroidery thread for strength.
The finished purse is approximately 12.5 cm x 11 cm, and comes wrapped in tissue paper.
An authentic tweed label is included in the packaging, it is not sewn onto the purse as customers have expressed this as a preference.
